Naantali - The Sunshine Town

Naantali

City / Municipality

Naantali is an idyllic town by the sea, with a little over 18 000 inhabitants, situated half an hour's drive from Turku. It was founded in 1443 and is the fourth oldest town in Finland.

Naantali is well known for its fascinating history as a convent town, for its charming wooden houses and maritime atmosphere. It is an incomparable spa resort, a well-known venue for meetings and conferences, as well as a family resort with the Moomins, the Adventure Island and bathing beaches.

Hustle and bustle in the sunshine and living idyll can be found in lively guest harbour; the gently swaying sailboats, the whistle of the steamboat Ukkopekka, the narrow lanes of the old town, the boutiques and galleries, cafés and restaurants offer experiences each more pleasant than the next.

In "Tuulensuoja", the Naantali Tourist Information building, there are showers and toilets, a TV and newspaper room as well as a sauna for boaters. The harbour master serves from the end of May untill the end of August.

Naantali offers accommodation in the luxurious Spa Hotel or in the charming wooden houses of the Old Town. Those who enjoy the tranquility of the archipelago can choose a high-grade cottage any time of the year.

Pleasant moments in sunny Naantali!
